HA HA HA - that's always a good one but alas the New Year always brings the need for change. My list will look like millions of hopeful and some sincere people on this ball of mud we call Earth. I almost don't want to post my list as to make it a permanent fixture on the world wide web... the accountability cork board.
Before I take the plunge ... HAPPY NEW YEAR ya'll!
Todd and I actually took the boys to a party on New Year's Eve. Before you call CPS it was at our friend's house from our Community Group (Church). Carsen was a great boy and went to sleep in his pack and play upstairs. Veteran parents that we are, we brought our monitor system and set it up.
Tucker stayed up the whole evening and did rather well. We made sure to pack some cars and his rocket ship to play with. Right around 9 or 10ish he hit his melt down stage which included him climbing on DH and jumping onto a humgous floor pillow... repeatedly. He never once got out of control. Thanks Bub!
So we saw the New Year in with close friends, toasted with Champaign and had fun and games to boot. I don't think Tucker understood all the cheering and blowing horns when midnight hit but he enjoyed making noise with the rest of us.
SO on to The List... and keep in mind it's in no particular order (would it really matter?).
1. Drink more water (as I sip a sweet tea and type)
2. Make healthier choices for me and my family when I cook or whatever I eat
3. Exercise PERIOD. I don't do one thing so anything will be an improvement.
4. USE CASH - no more credit cards!!!
i.e. budget grocery money and buy a grocery gift card and use that (and coupons)
5. Save up for my 40th birthday gift - a family vacation to Lake City, CO and Ft. Collins, CO to see my extended family
6. Be a better mother (PLEASE Lord if anything this is the ONE I want to acheive)
I'm sure I'll add more but this is a good start. I have been drinking more water and my lunches have been healthier so I'm off to a good start.
I hope everyone is doing well. Here's to a prosperous NEW YEAR!
