This season has put me in a tail spin!  I'm EXhausted but the craziness is over.  I loved getting together with family, that's the best part but getting READY for family and friends is another thing.

My husband cooked Christmas dinner and we invited a couple and their daughter who's great friends with Tucker, then my sister and her husband, Todd's Father and his wife, Susan and her father, Charlie (great and wise man).

I brought out our china, "Winter Greetings" from Lenox and set those in gorgeous red and gold charger plates.  The table was divine.  I wished I had taken a picture though.  Let me tell you about this mouth watering dinner...

Standing Rib roast
Mashed potato with celery root topped w/ chives
Stuffed gala apples with cornbread and raisins
Green bean bundles wrapped in bacon
Greek salad
Fresh baked rolls
Red wine

It is my desire to please the God I serve.  It is my desire that my boys will strive to do the same.  Casting Crowns has once again expressed the groanings of my heart and spirit in their lyrics of this song, "East to West".  I am so gratefully that HE is full of mercy and grace.  Where would I be without that?  Thank you Lord, for all the second chances You give me and others who believe.

May be it's silly and may be it's wise, but I have already started praying for the wives my sons will someday marry.  I pray that they are women of character who love Jesus more than anything else.  I pray for strong women that will come alongside my sons in the journey, ones that will be encouraging and not ones who tear down but build up.  I pray that my sons will be men of courage, and honor, bringing glory to God.

Who needs money when you can have this?
